I'm Jordan Caron aka Joca, a DJ and producer rooted in the electronic music community of Vancouver Island. I remember my first gig in 2004 at an outdoor bush party outside Duncan. Since then, I've been part of the fabric of this scene: behind the decks at intimate club nights, renegade parties, and underground events scattered across the Island, from Victoria to Nanaimo and beyond.
Back then flyers and RaveVictoria.com was how you found out about events before social media came along. Facebook has been a great source of finding events, but over the years, I've heard a growing sentiment that people want to spend less time on the platform.
That's why earlier this year I created this website. I wanted people to have an easier way to find upcoming events across the Island. It's like RA.COM but local. I'm dedicated to shining a light on the electronic music culture that has always thrived here, and giving this community a home online. It's incredible to see how many events are happening all over the Island week in and week out.
